This winter will be a hot one, at least for the Capital’s music lovers. The world’s biggest music acts — from Santana to Guns N’ Roses — will perform in Delhi-NCR in the coming months.
Rock guitarist Santana, who will jam during the Indian Grand Prix on October 28, said he is “excited and really honoured to play in the country”. He’s not the only big act at the F1 scene. Taboo from the American hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas will be playing “some dance music, a little bit of electro, a little bit of hip-hop and R&B”.
The next month will be equally melodious, with reggae star Sean Paul performing in Gurgaon on November 2. “I’m sure it will be terrific in India,” Paul said.
Next up, on November 18, will be the turn of electronic dance music trio Swedish House Mafia.
But perhaps the biggest act will be the last one. Rock band Guns N’ Roses, which has a huge fan following in the country, will perform at a concert in Gurgaon on December 12. “It has been my lifelong dream to visit India. I’ve always been fascinated by its culture and people,” the band’s keyboardist Dizzy Reed said.
