Three accident deaths in the Capital

Three people died in three different accidents on the Capital’s roads in the past 24 hours.

Three people died in three different accidents on the Capital’s roads in the past 24 hours.

A 20-year-old student of IP University was crushed by a speeding Haryana Roadways bus in north Delhi’s Jahangirpuri on Thursday morning. The deceased was identified as Aakash Chauhan, a resident of Yamuna Vihar area. The errant bus driver fled the spot, leaving the bus behind, police said.

In the second accident, an eight-year-old boy was run over by a speeding truck on Wednesday night in Chandni Chowk. The victim, Zahid, was travelling on a rickshaw in Hauz Qazi when the truck hit them. The truck driver Mohammad Kalam Ansari has been arrested.

The third accident took place in Vasant Kunj, when a water tanker overturned and its driver got crushed. Moving at high speed, the tank driver Ranjan Yadav, 35, could not control his vehicle and hit a divider.
