Three persons, including two Nigerian nationals, were arrested for allegedly running a cocaine racket in south Delhi and 122g of the contraband were seized from their possession, the police said on Wednesday.

“The first one to be apprehended was Sobhan, a businessman lives in south Delhi’s Chattarpur area. He was apprehended from near the Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium on Tuesday with 2g of cocaine,” said Arun Kampani, deputy commissioner of police (Special Cell).

During interrogation, police said, Sobhan told them that a Nigerian national — Akanbi Olamilekan Mohemmed (35) — used to supply him cocaine and that he had bought it for his personal consumption.

“Based on his confession, Mohemmed was held with 10g of premium quality cocaine from Saket,” Kampani said.
