An owner of a videogame parlour was stabbed to death at his Paharganj residence in central Delhi following an argument with a group of people on Saturday night.

The police said that as many as six men barged into the house and attacked him with knives. When his family members tried to intervene the group allegedly attacked them as well. According to the police, Golu was attacked at his residence around 11:00 p.m.

The police said that the victim, who is a ‘notorious character’, already has two cases registered against him. The accused too has around six cases against his name.

“He suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead,” said a senior police officer on condition of anonymity. The family had told police that they had threatened to kill him.

“They owed my son some money. When he asked them for money they got into a fight,” said Usha, Golu’s mother. The police said the accused are hiding and teams have been sent to nab them.
