Extending their support to the anti-graft movement, the traders of Connaught Place and Chandni Chowk have decided to shut shops on Thursday.

“This is a movement against corruption and to support this important cause, we have decided to observe a day-long bandh. We have requested all shopkeepers to participate but are not going to force anyone to do so,” said Atul Bhargava, president, New Delhi Traders’ Association.

“The entire country is infested with corruption and we need to do our bit. To show solidarity with the movement, the traders of Chandni Chowk have decided to keep their shops shut for a day,” said Sanjay Bhargava, general secretary, Chandni Chowk Sarv Vyapar Mandal.
