Delhi University is leaving no stone unturned in making the admission process easy and hassle free. This year DU has roped DU community radio, reports Srishti Jha.

Delhi University is leaving no stone unturned in making the admission process easy and hassle free. Apart from bringing out the common admission form, Delhi University has also roped in the DU community radio for providing information on the admission procedure for the 2008 academic session.

The radio channel 90.4 FM can be accessed anywhere in a radius of 10 km around North Campus. The radio will start relaying a special one-hour programme on DU under-graduation admissions from next week onwards.

It will be a follow-up on the Open Days, which will take place in colleges from May 24, 2008. "The Open Days are conducted to help the students with the colleges and courses they want to get in, says Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, deputy dean, students' welfare.

A tentative schedule is out, regarding the Open Days, which will start at 10 am up to 1pm. The session will start with a 30 minutes presentation on courses available, eligibility criteria and last year's cut offs."

Special presentation sessions are designed for the disabled students and for the SC/ST students.

Schedule for the Open Days sessions are as follows:
May 24th, 2008 - Khalsa College
May26th, 2008 - DDU College
May27th, 2008 - Keshavpuram College
May 28th - 29th - S.P.Jain Centre
May 30th - Shyam Lal Anand College
May 31st - Vivekananda College
