Two held for killing man who resisted mobile snatching

Two people were arrested here for stabbing a domestic help to death last month, when he resisted their attempt to snatch a mobile phone from his employer, the police said Sunday.

Two people were arrested here for stabbing a domestic help to death last month, when he resisted their attempt to snatch a mobile phone from his employer, the police said Sunday.

Shekhar, 34, and Sanjay, 24, were arrested Saturday from Rajouri Garden area for stabbing Raju in his neck outside his employer Shyam Kumar's Tagore Garden house last month, the police said.

“Shekhar and Sanjay had snatched a mobile phone from Kumar. But when Raju resisted, they stabbed him to death,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (west Delhi) Sharad Aggarwal said.

Aggarwal said Shekhar was involved in 18 cases of snatching, robbery, theft and violations of the Arms Act.
