The Ghaziabad Police on Friday arrested two truck drivers from Loni for allegedly killing a local transporter over an alleged extra marital affair. They later hid the body in a sewer.

The two truck drivers, Kalmi Raj and Rajendra Chand, murdered Ramanand Singh (40), on the night of September 17, police officials said.

The duo had been friendly with Singh who was allegedly having an extra-marital affair with Raj’s 36-year-old wife, police stated.

"The deceased’s decomposed body was recovered three days after the murder," said senior superintendent of police Raghubir Lal.

Both the accused were named in the FIR lodged at Loni police station and were nabbed on Friday.
