Two killed in roof collapse

Two persons, including the owner of a steel factory, were killed and a labourer was injured on Wednesday when the roof of a building, constructed eight days ago, collapsed after its support system was removed. HT reports.
Two persons, including the owner of a steel factory, were killed and a labourer was injured on Wednesday when the roof of a building, constructed eight days ago, collapsed after its support system was removed.
The incident took place in the factory in Wazirpur Industrial Area. The deceased has been identified as Anil Jain. An unidentified labourer was also killed in the incident. “Today, the workers removed the support system for the roof and soon after, it collapsed,” a senior police officer said.

According to the officer, the building was old and the owner was constructing a roof on its third floor. He said the police were investigating how the roof collapsed.
