Travelling from east Delhi to many areas of south Delhi will soon become a smooth affair with two new loops connecting Barapullah elevated Road with Lala Lajpat Rai Marg set to become functional next year.
After missing several deadlines, the Public Works Department (PWD) is planning to make the Moolchand slip road of Barapullah elevated road functional from February next year and another road leading to Lajpat Rai Marg from April.
Currently, those travelling from Sarai Kale Khan towards central and south Delhi have no option but to get down at Lodhi road and vice-versa. The slip road will ease traffic woes of thousands of commuters.
