Two persons were critically injured after they were stabbed by an unidentified person for objecting to his rash driving inside a residential colony in outer Delhi’s Sultanpuri.
The incident took place around 9.30 pm on Tuesday.
The victims, identified as Ramesh Kumar, 25, and his neighbour Dilip Kumar, 26, are residents of Sultanpuri P-Block. They are undergoing treatment at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
The police said Ramesh saw the car being recklessly driven by the accused.
“Ramesh shouted at the driver. The accused alighted from the car and a verbal argument ensued between the two during which Ramesh slapped him,” said an officer.
The driver left the spot but arrived after 10 minutes along with two other persons.
A scuffle broke out between the four and the accused allegedly stabbed Ramesh with a knife.
Ramesh’s neighbour Dilip tried to intervene but he too was stabbed by the accused.
A case of attempt to murder has been registered against unidentified persons at the Sultanpuri police station.
