Babloo, 28, a Mayapuri resident, was admitted at AIIMS on Tuesday with complaints of bleeding and skin discolouration taking the number of radiation leak victims to seven. “Of the six patients at AIIMS, Rajender Prasad, 35, is critical. The others are stable,” said Dr D.K. Sharma, MS, AIIMS.

“They have been given several rounds of blood transfusions as they were admitted with low platelet counts and suppressed immunity,” he said.

Experts from radiotherapy department and BARC have been consulted. “While they may appear stable and responding well to treatment, the damage to their bodies cannot be assessed till a chromosomal analyses is not done, as that will give us an exact account of radiation absorbed in their bodies,” said a doctor.

Meanwhile, Deepak Jain, 30, admitted at Apollo continues to be critical. “His bone marrow is suppressed, his condition is serious,” said an Apollo spokesperson.
