Two computer professionals have been arrested for allegedly murdering a taxi driver in their bid to rob his vehicle at Mehrauli in south Delhi, reports HT Correspondent.

The accused, one of them a National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadet and a shooting expert, had taken to the crime to repay a loan they had splurged on expensive holidays and women.

The accused have been identified as Deepak Malviya (24) and Ashish Pal (21). On September 3, an unidentified body was found in Mehrauli. Later, he was identified as Raju Kumar, a taxi driver.

The duo had taken a lift in Kumar’s taxi with an intention to rob him. When he resisted, Deepak shot him.

Deepak was entrusted with killing Kumar as he underwent training in shooting at the Army Wing of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in Indore.

They drove the car and abandoned his body at a secluded place in Mehrauli.
