Congress leader Jagdish Tytler’s son Siddharth has issued a defamation notice to Joseph Rubinstein and Haim Yasher, the two directors of Cyprus-based Corewip Limited after the company complained to the Prime Minister’s Office alleging that Siddharth along with controversial arms dealer Abhishek Verma defrauded their company of $1.1 million.

Besides the Corewip directors, Abhishek Verma’s estranged attorney C Edmond Allen has also been issued defamation notice by Siddharth. Allen is based in New York and has been sending many documents to investigating agencies here, which hint at Abhishek Verma’s involvement in many corrupt practices.

Corewip had floated a joint venture with Ganton India — a front company of Abhishek Verma of which Allen is also a director — called GT Telecom. According to Siddharth, he was just a shareholder in GT Telecom. He neither received any money from Corewip nor had any involvement with the alleged $1.1 million transaction.

Siddharth has sought a public apology from Corewip directors and C Edmond Allen and has demanded a payment of $1,00,000 for defaming him.
