Puri-sabzi was what Ramdev's supporters demanded when they were detained at Delhi Gate's Ambedkar Stadium around 6pm. The demand came after Ramdev highlighted how the government was feeding terrorist Ajmal Kasab.

The whole show had been organised by the volunteers of the Bharat Swabhiman Trust. Over 40 volunteers, armed with walkie-talkies, coordinated the protest on Monday, and were in better control of the situation than even the police.

The volunteers would get directions from Ramdev, which they would enforce among the supporters. To manage the supporters, organisers had made several groups, led by one volunteer. The group was asked not to court arrest till they asked.

When the police tried to detain supporters, the volunteers told them to sit on the road and raise slogans. "Almost every supporter was told about Baba's location and what he wanted us to do. We were asked not to let police the police take them to Bawana. At the same time, Baba asked them not to indulge in violence," a volunteer said.

And since there were over 20 buses full of supporters, a public addressal system, mounted on an SUV belonging to Ramdev's aide, was used to give directions to supporters. After six hours of drama on road, the protesters were finally taken to Ambedkar stadium at Delhi Gate around 6 pm.

The demand for puri-sabzi too had come from Ramdev, which was relayed to his supporters by the volunteers. The police, however, turned down this request, saying they had made such arrangements at Bawana's Rajiv Gandhi Stadium.
