If you want to be one of those sizzling beauties who adorn bedroom walls in skimpy swimsuits, just log on to a talent-based social networking site that is hunting for sexy models.
Ibibo.com has started an initiative called ibeachbody for its swimsuit calendar 2010 that will give young women a stepping stone into the world of modelling.
Sanaa Oberoi, 23, has posted her pictures on the site and is hopeful of making it to the final twelve girls.
"You don't get such an opportunity every day. It is a very good platform. Who doesn't know about the Kingfisher swimsuit calendar? It's every model's dream to feature in it. This is just a platform for the aspiring models. You never know what tomorrow has in store for you," points out Delhi-based Oberoi.
This initiative will continue till November and then 12 winners will be declared who will be photographed by six fashion photographers, Anirban Brahma, Danish Hussain, Jatin Singh, Kaustav Saikia, Keeny Newton and Raj Chaturvedi, who are also judges of the talent hunt.
Each fashion photographer will shoot two chosen participants; the locations for the shoot are yet to be finalised.
Talking about this initiative, Ibibo's associate vice president Vivek Bahl told IANS that the platform is meant for aspiring models who have the ability to make it big in the industry.
"Kingfisher swimsuit calendar takes only established models. What about the aspiring models? So this is the platform for them and all of them have willingly participated in it," Bahl explained.
Talking about the security aspect, Bahl assured that the site is perfectly "safe" to upload pictures.
"Ours is a pretty secure platform and we have taken extra care to make sure that no one misuses the pictures. A girl doesn't have to worry on these aspects. Their photographs are in safe hands."
Bahl said that given the wide reach of the internet, people from small towns are uploading their pictures and giving tough competition to the metropolitan crowd.
"Our reach is wide and you will be surprised to know that aspirants from small towns are participating in our contests and are winning too. It's just a matter of getting the right opportunity."
