For the last two weeks, Hindustan Times has been trying contact P.S. Nair, the Chief Executive Officer of DIAL for an interview through the company’s corporate communication team. Despite repeated mails and phone calls, Nair didn’t agree for an interview.

We had sent DIAL a questionnaire last week, a precondition set by the company for an interview. Despite promising responses to the queries, DIAL didn’t answer back.

Following are some of the queries that were sent to DIAL for answers and comments –

What measures have DIAL taken to tackle the problems arising out of closure of runway 28?

Has DIAL planned a way to cut down the taxiing time of domestic aircraft landing at runway 29?

The departure ramp becomes congested with cars and passengers. Out of station passengers can be seen lying on the pavements.

Passengers complain that air conditioning is inefficient and inadequate.

There is an acute shortage of drinking water at the international airport due to lack of dispensers.

The roof of terminal 1D still leaks during rains. Has DIAL strengthened the roof so it doesn’t collapse or blows away during the coming monsoon?
