The weather remained pleasant in New Delhi on Wednesday as the minimum temperature was two degrees above normal due to the influence of a western disturbance.
Delhi recorded a low of 10.2 degrees celsius, two notches above normal, the Met department said adding that the minumum temperature on Tuesday was 9.8 degrees.
The capital is experiencing warmer weather because of the Western Disturbance. The maximum temperature was recorded at 21 degree celsius on Tuesday.
On this day last year, the minimum temparature was four degree celsius while maximum was recorded at 18 degrees celsius.
The weatherman has forecast that the minimum temperature will hover around 10 degree celsius while maximum will be 21 degrees.
January this year has been warmer so far as compared to last year when the minimum dropped below five degrees a number of times. The season's lowest temperature was recorded on January 2 when the minimum dipped to 4 degrees.
The lowest temperature ever recorded in January was on 16 January 1935 when the temperature fell to -0.6 degrees celsius. The minimum in 2006 had dropped to 0.2 degrees Celsius.
