The weatherman has predicted a colder day tomorrow with the temperature hovering between 17 degrees and 9 degrees Celsius.

"Rainfall is expected till Friday afternoon. The sky will clear after that. A sharp fall in temperature is expected," India meteorological department director, (weather forecast) BP Yadav said. The intermittent rainfall during the past two days is a result of the western disturbances. The Capital recorded rainfall of 0.5 mm on Thursday.

The weather conditions are will be conducive to fog after Friday as the humidity will be high and temperature low.

"Shallow fog, not affecting air travel can be seen in the morning but we are expecting dense fog only after January 2," Yadav said. "This will not hamper the schedule of flights at the Indira Gandhi International Airport," Yadav asserted. However, the city witnessed a warmer than usual morning on Thursday as the minimum temperature was recorded at 11.8 degrees Celsius, five degrees above normal.

The maximum temperature was 19.2 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal. Weather forecast websites globally have also predicted good visibility till January 1.
