November promises to be a problem month. Till now, much has been said about the health impact of the continuing smog, but now it seems the month will be the worst in terms of visibility as well.

“With still 22 days left in this month, the visibility may be the worst since 1989,” said RK Jenamani, director in charge, of the Met office at IGI Airport in a statement.

This could spell travel-related inconveniences, be it trains, flights or even driving round in the NCR.

In 2008, the city saw 245 hours of low visibility in November. This year, the city has already seen 190 such hours and there are still 22 days left for the month to end.

According to the India Meteorological Department, over the next two days, the air will be clear because of an increase in wind speed, but smog may return on Sunday.
