Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Yogendra Yadav on Sunday asked party colleagues to end infighting and focus on its goal of eradicating corruption. Yadav, who was ousted along with AAP colleague Prashant Bhushan from the party's political affairs committee, asked leaders to refrain from taking sides.
"For the last 5-7 days, a lot has been said. Holi is over. A lot of colour and dirt has been thrown. We have to work. We have to fight corruption," he told reporters here during the Jai Kisan Abhiyan march against the BJP government in the state.
Yadav's comments came after AAP leader Mayank Gandhi wrote a blog supporting him and Bhushan while another leader, Anjali Damania, backed Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. "I do not think people are supporting me or are against me. The party workers, who have high hopes, want such things to end," Yadav said.
Playing down the recent rift in the party, Yadav said, "We have not been expelled (from the party). I am just been removed from the PAC. We are still part of the rashtriya karyakarini (national executive)."
Yadav added that he would soon write a book and "analyse recent events".
