Cultural ties

The Korean Cultural Centre is showcasing an art exhibition titled Nanum Project. In Korean, Nanum means to give or donate. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Korea, the Nanum Project is organised to donate Korean art works to Indian schools and Indian art works to Korean schools. This is the first series which will showcase a total of 43 paintings and calligraphy works donated by renowned Indian and Korean artists.

Mind games

It’s that time of the year again when kids spend the holidays fretting over holiday homework or doodling suns and stars on scrap books. How about engaging them in some mind building activities in a camp? The camps will allow young children to explore under the guidance of instructors. Kids can participate in some mentally stimulating exercises like rubik cubing and mind mapping besides cooking classes.

Finding Alice

In case you would want your little girl to be a part of a theatre and play the part of famous character Alice, then this could be her chance. Theatre group Humour Me is all set to present its latest production and is hunting for one of the leading characters, Alice, a 9 year old girl. 7 Days To Wonderland, is a play about truth being stranger than fiction, and will bring our fairy tale characters to life. The auditions will give an opportunity to 9-14 year old girls to star in the production.

Celebrating a day with dad

With Father’s Day round the corner, if you are scouting for the best gift for the man who taught you your first lessons, here is something thought provoking. For those who would want their kids to explore various aspects of film-making, there’s a summer workshop for 10-14 year olds. The kids will be shown films from across the globe and will also be introduced to the technical aspects of film-making, complete with shooting and editing your film.
