She further alleged that the youth made a video of her and threatened to make it viral if she approached the police. She said that she was forced to visit the youth’s house several times and was raped by different men. In her complaint she cited three different occasions when she was raped by different men. Following her complaint, the police have registered a case of gang rape.

According to sources, the girl was a friend of the youth and used to visit his house frequently. She had reportedly gone missing from her house for three days and was found to be staying with the youth at his Jamia Nagar residence. Sources said that a neighbour reportedly spotted the two living together and objected to it and threatened to inform the girl’s parents. It is then that the girl filed a complaint against the youth and his friends alleging rape.

The police have registered a case and have begun the investigations. “We are looking into the allegations made by the girl. We have detained the youth and have confiscated his mobile phone, which will be sent for forensic examination. An NGO has also been roped in to counsel the girl,” a senior police officer said.

L-G JUNG BEHAVING LIKE KING: SATYENDRA JAIN

The Delhi government on Sunday hit out at the Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and said he was behaving like a ‘king’.

Delhi home minister Satyendar Jain said the L-G had no time for the areas that come directly under his control – law and order, land and police – and had taken over things that the government is supposed to look at. He was reacting to an alleged gang rape of a minor in Jamia Nagar area.
