Delhi police have busted a gambling racket and arrested 14 persons. Police said the accused used to install CCTV cameras outside houses to keep a watch on police movement. Police have recovered Rs 1.58 lakh from them.
“On a tip-off that a group of people was gambling in Ranjeet Nagar area, a team was sent there,” a senior police officer said. Police said that gang had taken the third floor of house 2162/ 4 at Arjun Nagar on rent on daily basis.
“They were paying Rs 3,000 per day and had installed cameras for their safety. They revealed they used to change their location frequently and managed to evade police with the help of CCTVs,” the officer added.
