Neeta Sharma (24; name changed) lodged a police complaint on Sunday to get the child back after the father took him away.
“I married Nitin (34; name changed)...His first wife can’t bear any kids and now, he’s taken my child away,” Neeta said.
Sharma’s legally-wedded wife Nishima Sharma (30; name changed), meanwhile, says, “She worked as a domestic help for us and never married my husband. As I was unable to bear children, we paid her Rs 15,000 to bear a child from my husband,” Nishima said.
Rajesh Chaudhary, station officer, Kavi Nagar police station—where the complaint was lodged—said that for the time being, the child had been handed over to his natural mother.
