A 21-year-old woman, who works for a real estate firm, was allegedly abducted by four persons in a car with tinted glasses in daylight from a bus stop in south Delhi and was taken around the city for almost 12 hours before being dumped at an isolated spot in the northeast part of the city.

The incident came to light on Tuesday after the victim made a call to the police control room (PCR). The woman alleged that the faces of two of the four men were covered and they tried to rape her in the moving vehicle.

A case of abduction and molestation was registered at the Seemapuri police station even after the victim refused to give her consent for a formal complaint or go for a medical examination. Given the gravity of her allegations, the Seemapuri police registered the FIR on their own.

A resident of southwest Delhi's Najafgarh, the woman told police that she was waiting for a bus near the Badarpur Metro station to go home after work when a white car with tinted glasses stopped near her.

"The occupants of the car dragged her into the vehicle and left. Inside the car, she was threatened with dire consequences by her abductors who warned her not to scream or raise an alarm. The woman was taken around the city till late in the night and the accused made unsuccessful attempts to rape her in the vehicle,” said a police officer.

The woman told the police that the accused threw her out of their vehicle in Dilshad Garden after their repeated attempts to rape her failed.
