A 21-year-old man was found dead outside the house of his former business partner in Ballabgarh city early on Sunday, the police said. They have registered a case of murder against five members of a family. According to the police, they received a call around midnight from the family of Satish Kumar, saying that a thief had entered their house in Daulat Colony, under Ballabgarh city police station. Kumar was a former business partner of the deceased.
"When we reached the house, we were told the thief fled, so we returned," station house officer of Ballabgarh city police station, Narinder Singh. "We again received a call from them around 5am on Sunday informing that the 'thief' has been caught." The SHO said when he returned to the house, they found the body of Suresh, outside the house. The police then informed the family of the deceased, who lived in Gherkhera village. The police said Suresh's relatives blamed Kumar and his family for the "cold-blooded murder of their son".
On a complaint from Suresh's father, Dharampal, the police registered a case of murder against five — Kumar, his wife Sarita, his father Bhupinder, his maternal uncles Nandi and Harish. The police said, according to Dharampal, his son Suresh, an engineer, and Kumar worked together for two years till a financial dispute broke them up. “The death is a mystery which we are trying to unravel,” SHO Singh said.
The police are yet to arrest the accused in the case.
