A 25-year-old woman, who works with a multi-national company in Gurgaon, was held hostage in her car and robbed of her laptop and purse containing some cash and other valuables in southwest Delhi's Dwarka on Tuesday evening.
Police said the unidentified robber forced his way into her car when she was outside an ATM in Dwarka.
The incident took place around 7pm on Tuesday when Geetanjali Raina, a resident of Nawada Housing Complex near Dwarka Mor Metro station, was on her way home from work.
Raina, the officer said, had stopped outside an ATM in Sector 5 to check her balance amount. "She said on her way back home from office, she withdrew some cash from another ATM and had stopped her car in Sector 5, Dwarka, to check the balance in her account," said the officer.
After visiting the ATM, Raina was sitting in her car when a tall man forcibly entered her car.
"He snatched her handbag and asked her to drive the car. He made her drive the car for several minutes and finally stepped out of the vehicle at an isolated place. He disappeared with Raina's bag and her laptop," the officer said.
Police have registered a case.
