Three men were arrested for allegedly robbing a five-star hotel chef at knifepoint in west Delhi on Sunday night, police claimed.
Tarique, 25, Tushar, 20 and Sonu, had allegedly waylaid and robbed one Jitender Prakash Verma, employed as a chef at Rohini's Crown Plaza Hotel, late last night on Pankha Road in Vikaspuri, said V Renganathan, additional CP (west).
"At 1:30 am, when Verma reached the Keshopur Mandi signal, he was intercepted by the trio. They put a knife to his stomach and asked him to give up all valuables, before fleeing towards Peeragarhi," said Renganathan.
One Rajeev Sharma, a resident of Tilak Nagar who was passing by in his car, helped Verma chase the trio, police said.
"A police call was made and the men were arrested after a chase by two officers on night patrol," Renganathan said.
Police claimed a gold chain was recovered from Tushar and a button-activated knife from Tarique. A mobile and another button-activated knife were recovered from Sonu.
