Three men were arrested for allegedly abducting and subsequently raping three women aboard a moving vehicle in southwest Delhi's Cantonment area, police said on Tuesday.
AK Ojha, deputy commissioner of police (southwest), said the incident was reported late on Sunday night and the accused trio, identified as Rakesh, Rakesh Kumar and Govinda, were arrested within minutes. All the accused are aged between 22 and 25 years.
"The complainants, all three of whom reside in Gopinath Bazar area, have stated in their complaint that they were waylaid by the accused trio and forced inside a Santro car," said Ojha. Police said one of the victims, after being sexually assaulted aboard the moving vehicle, was pushed out on the road while the other two were driven to a DDA flat, owned by one of the accused, in Raghubir Nagar area.
It was at the said flat, according to police, that the accused trio took turns to rape their two remaining victims. The accused were arrested minutes after the victims were let off and informed the police.
