Delhi Police have arrested four people, including three Nepali nationals, after busting a human trafficking racket. The racket involved sending Nepali girls to Gulf countries on fake Nepali passports via India. Police said that the kingpin of the gang is operating from Saudi Arabia.
The arrested people have been identified as Nabin Kumar Subedi (35), Ashiq Ali Miya (24) and Uttam Silwal (32), all from Nepal, and Bipin Dahal (32), a graduate from Assam.
“They used to prepare fake passports, visa stickers and fake employment stickers. 41 fake Nepalese passports and 104 foreign employment permit stickers of Nepal were recovered from them,” a senior police officer informed. The accused initially maintained that seized passports are genuine but Nepalese embassy confirmed that they weren’t.
