Continuing with the sealing drive against commercial establishments operating out of residential premises, the MCD on Tuesday took action against 50 such shops in the capital.
While 15 shops were sealed in West Zone, 14 shops each were closed down in Shahdara (South) and Central Zones, an MCD spokesman said.
Seven shops faced the axe in Rohini Zone while the figures for Najafgarh Zone was five. In South Zone, three shops were sealed while two were sealed in Civil Lines.
Though a road was identified for action in Shahdara-North Zone, no action was taken on the stretch as MCD's sealing squad could not detect any violation.
With today's action, the total number of shops sealed has risen to 1,413 since the resumption of the drive on March 28.
