54 SHOs transferred in Delhi police
NEW DELHI: A major reshuffle was initiated in Delhi Police on Thursday with over 54 inspectors working as Station House Officers being transferred.
The police called it a ‘routine transfer’ pending for several months. Sources said another list would be released in two days.
“Some of these inspectors were to be transferred a few months ago when BS Bassi was the commissioner but the process got delayed and there was a backlog of over six months. Since the backlog had to be cleared, a collective list was issued on Thursday and orders were passed.
There is nothing unusual about these transfers and it is a routine process,” a senior police officer said.
“All these officers had completed their tenure of two years as the station house officer at a particular police station and were due for a transfer,” the officer said.
