Going with the excitement of the crowd, Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan gave a foot-tapping performance at the grand finale of HT City Youth Nexus 2013 on Friday.

Apart from performing his popular tracks, Tere Bina and Aankhon Ke Saagar, the 48-year-old singer invited Sonakshi Chaudhary, a final-year student of Ram Lal Anand College on stage to sing a few lines of his number, Mora Saiyan. Amused by her spontaneity, Shafqat also gave one of his lucky coins to her. “Moments are never lived again… Shafqat’s search of a singer from the audience ended on me. Singing the song with him felt great and the coin he gave me will always remind me of that magical evening,” said Chaudhary.

About his experience of performing on campus, Shafqat, who calls Delhi his another home, said, “Performing for students is the best thing that can ever happen to anyone.”
