The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday announced the candidates for Tilak Nagar and Shahdara for the forthcoming assembly elections in Delhi.

With this, the nascent party has announced its candidates for 42 out of 70 seats.

Advocate Surender Sharma will contest from Shahdara and Jarnail Singh will fight elections from Tilak Nagar, a statement from AAP said.

Sharma has been fighting legal battles for water rights of the common man, while Singh, who has been closely associated with the party from its very inception, runs a water purification plant.
