Aarushi case: Court adjourns hearing

A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Ghaziabad on Tuesday adjourned the proceedings in Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case and decided the next date of hearing on April 27.

Priti Singh adjourned the hearings in wake of the recent directions by the Supreme Court, which stayed further proceedings in the case for the time being.
The directions had come on Saturday when Dr Rajesh Talwar and Dr Nupur Talwar filed their respective special leave petitions (SLPs) at the apex court after their previous petitions were rejected by the Allahabad high court last week.
Tuesday was also fixed for the disposal of an application related to K Ashish who had previously approached the court on March 4 and stated that he found a surgical glove near a drain outlet at Talwar's Noida residence.
In his application through his lawyer Sanjay Tyagi, Ashish requested the court to send the glove for forensic examination to help in the investigations and possibly to unearth the culprits behind the double murders of Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj Banjade.
However, the disposal of the same application could not take place as the Ghaziabad court decided to adjourn the hearings in wake of the Supreme Court's recent directions.
