The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police arrested an alleged sharpshooter of the Abu Salem gang on Thursday.
The accused had been living under an alias for the last four years in the Capital without the police knowing about him.
“Mohammed Akram Siddique, a declared proclaimed offender in a case of extortion and attempt to murder in Mumbai, was apprehended by the Crime Branch,” said Additional Commissioner (Crime) Neeraj Thakur.
The police said that he was residing in Lado Sarai under a fake identity.
The arrest came on Wednesday, when police received an input that he would be near the Lado Sarai Bus Terminal in Mehrauli.
