A person working with an airline was on Sunday arrested at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport here for allegedly trying to sneak out with a camera which he had stolen from an aircraft.
The employee was deployed to clean stationary aircraft and was intercepted by an alert security personnel of the CISF when he was exiting after duty from gate No. 11 of the IGI.
He was caught at about 8am when he was trying to sneak out a Sony digital camera. “He was later handed over to airport police which arrested him,” a CISF official said.
He is employed as a cleaning staff of a leading airline and a firm which carries out such jobs at the IGI.
The employee said he picked up the camera from the flight when no one was around, the official said.
