Power discom BSES on Friday said that all the Commonwealth Games venues had surplus power and that it had completed its job of strengthening its distribution network at the venues at a cost of Rs 74 crore.
A BSES official said the company has set up a grid sub station at the Games Village near Akshardham Temple in East Delhi where athletes will stay.
"All the projects have surplus power. We will ensure a trouble free power distribution during the Games," he said.
The discom has prepared a blueprint to strengthen and augment the distribution network in all the stadiums, guesthouses and other Games venues.
"The infrastructure at all the CWG stadiums has been created or augmented keeping in mind the future scalability and requirements," he said.
