All for a good cause
If you are a music lover who also loves animals, Big Bang Blues, the Delhi-based rock and roll band will be presenting a fund raiser/benefit show for the NGO Friendicoes SECA (Society for the Eradication of Cruelty to Animals). The band will be playing a pro bono show at the Turquoise Cottage. The event will have an entry fee of Rs. 250 per head (which includes a complimentary beer). Of every entry collection, a sum of Rs. 200 will go as proceeds to Friendicoes. The animal shelter and rescue organisation has an animal sanctuary in Gurgaon where they provide a home for rescued animals.

Hearty rustic eating
If you thought having a meal comprising freshly baked breads, pure sheep's cheese and home-made mustard was only possible in a rustic Italian village, think again. At La Brezza, the all-new menu combines a variety of cheeses flown in from Italy. The delicacies include cheeses served with home-made mermellata and truffle honey. The menu also boasts of antipasti platters of fried prawns and buffalo mozzarella and sashimi-styled tuna.

The Japan Foundation brings together a series of exhibitions on Japan's heritage. The exhibition is divided in to three parts with two weeks dedicated to each. The first part of the exhibition 'Kyoto Heritage' pertains to historic monuments of the ancient heritage city of Kyoto (Kyoto, Uji and Otsu cities), and showcases photos from Kazuyoshi Miyoshi, an award-winning Japanese photographer. In 1999, the ministry of foreign affairs bought pieces of "World Heritage of Japan" and these are currently on tour around the world, at exhibitions held through the Japan Foundation.
