It was another chilly morning for Delhiites on Thursday with the temperatures remaining below normal at two degree Celsius.
The minimum temperature rose marginally to two degree Celsius, five notches below normal, from Wednesday's 1.9 degrees, the coldest this season, Met Office said.
The year began on a shivering note as temperature dipped to 2.6 degree and further plummeted to 1.9 degree on Wednesday.
Wednesday's maximum was recorded at 20 degree Celsius.
"The days are colder than last year. The cold condition may stay on for a while," a MeT official said.
The weatherman attributed the fall in the temperature to cold wave conditions, currently prevailing over Haryana, north Rajasthan and eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh.
The Met office has forecasted mainly clear sky during the day.
