Ashok Vihar house robbed of Rs 2.5 lakh

Four armed assailants allegedly broke into a private transport operator’s northwest Delhi house, took the female help hostage at knifepoint and fled with valuables worth Rs 2.5 lakh early Thursday morning.

Four armed assailants allegedly broke into a private transport operator’s northwest Delhi house, took the female help hostage at knifepoint and fled with valuables worth Rs 2.5 lakh early Thursday morning.

Police said around 2 am on Thursday, the robbers held the domestic maid hostage at Sandeep Luthra’s three-storey house in Ashok Vihar phase II. Luthra lives with his mother, wife and two children. They gagged the maid and ransacked the house. Police said the men had gained entry through the kitchen window.

They left with goods and other valuables are an hour. A case has been registered.
