According to the police, the deceased, who has been identified as Robert Michel (57), had checked in around 1.30 am in 'Yes Sir' hotel in Paharganj.

They said questioning of the hotel staff revealed that the victim was heard snoring till 11.30 am. "But by evening when there was neither response from his room nor to the knocks by the staff at the door, the hotel management grew suspicious.
