Awards for policemen for meritorious work

Fifteen men from Delhi Police, including Special Commissioner (Special Cell and Crime Branch) P.N. Aggarwal, have been awarded police medals on the occasion of Independence Day for meritorious services.

Among the 15 medals include one Police Medal for Gallantry, two President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and 12 Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

ACP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav has been awarded Police Medal for Gallantry, while Aggrawal and Inspector Raja Ram have been adjudged with President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service. DCP (Traffic-Central Range) Rupinder Kumar, ACP Baljit Singh Bamel, Inspector Rajiv Bhatnagar, SI Roslin Punam Minz and Constable Surender Singh are among those who have been bestowed with Police Medal for Meritorious Service. Minz, presently posted in Crime Against Women Cell, is the lone woman in the list.
