BA (H) in Journalism is offered in five colleges

delhi Updated: May 17, 2010 23:34 IST

At least 400 students seeking admission to various Delhi University colleges attended the day three of the Open Day session organised by the varsity. Some of the most frequently asked questions were:

Can I change my stream from science to humanities?
Yes, one can change from the science stream to humanities easily. A shift from humanities to science and commerce, though, is not possible.

What should I opt for — Bachelors in Business Economics (BBE) or BA (H) Economics — for better job opportunities?
BBE is better when it comes to placement after graduation. But mainstream courses are advisable in the long run as they give one a better grounding in a subject.

How many colleges offer a course in English Journalism? Do I need to fill up separate forms for it?
Five colleges offer BA (H) Journalism in Delhi University. Admission is through an entrance test. Students need to buy separate forms of different colleges to apply and tests are also held by each college separately. The five colleges that offer the course are: Kalindi College, Delhi College for Arts and Commerce, Maharaja Agrasen College, Kamla Nehru College and Lady Shri Ram College for Women.
