Abdul Rehman, an alleged caretaker of a south Delhi flat where two suspects of Delhi serial blasts were killed in a police encounter last month, was on Monday granted bail by a court here. Rehman was arrested on September 21 for allegedly forging the lease agreement of L-18 flat in Batla House colony near Jamia Nagar.
Additional Sessions Judge Pinki considered the facts that the accused, who was a Government servant, had already remained in custody for 45 days. Pleading for release of accused on bail, his counsel M.S. Khan submitted that the police had failed to recover the original rent agreement that was alleged to have been forged.
