A member of Ranbir Sena, a militia of landlords in Bihar, was arrested in the Capital for his involvement in several criminal cases, police said on Wednesday.
Mohammed Tamanna, 21, a resident of Bihar's Darbhanga district, was arrested from the Saket area of south Delhi on Tuesday. One pistol and two cartridges were recovered from him, police said.
Tamanna told his interrogators that he belonged to Ranbir Sena. He also confessed to his involvement in many cases of murder, attempt to murder, dacoity and extortion in Bihar, police said.
"We have informed the Bihar Police about the arrest and further investigations are underway," Deputy Commissioner of Police Anil Shukla said.
