BJP-JD (U) talks on seat-sharing over
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the seat sharing between his party JD(U) and BJP has finalised and a formal announcement in this regard would be made soon.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday said the seat sharing between his party JD(U) and BJP has finalised and a formal announcement in this regard would be made soon.
"Seat sharing for Bihar have already been decided. I can not divulge anything (in this regard). The announcement would be made by Arun Jaitley (of BJP)" Bihar CM told reporters before leaving to Patna.
Kumar along with his party chief Sharad Yadav, who had a meeting over lunch with BJP leaders LK Advani and Arun Jaitley, said the afternoon meeting was a deliberation on seat sharing in Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh between the two allies.
The JD(U) leader declined to comment anything further on the seat sharing formula.
When asked that he is being projected as the third front's prime ministerial candidate in the absence of a majority for either UPA or NDA, he said, "I do not dream such things." As per sources, JD(U) is adamant for more seat in Bihar. The last seat sharing formula for the ruling alliance in Bihar had been 16 and 24 seats for BJP and JD(U) respectively.
