The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Delhi on Friday punched holes in the claims made by the Sheila Dikshit government in its report card of achievements.

Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel and the leader of the Oppositon in Delhi Assembly, VK Malhotra, accused the Congress government of turning Delhi into an 'unaffordable and unsafe' city during its 15 years of rule.

Reacting to the Delhi Government's booklet on its achievements in the past 15 years, the BJP leaders said the Congress party was misleading the people of Delhi by making false claims.

"Congress has turned Delhi into an unaffordable, unplanned, unsafe and polluted city in its 15 years of misrule. It failed to curb high inflation, crime against women, sky-rocketing power and water tariff and address lack of adequate public transport," Malhotra said.

Dikshit had released a report card highlighting her government's achievements in the Capital on Wednesday.

"Delhi government claims that it is on the second position in GDP growth over past five years. But, the facts tell a different story. In 2009-10 it was on 17th position, in 2010-11 it was on 18th position and in 2011-12 it was on 15th position. The unemployment rate has also increased under Congress rule from 3.6% a decade ago to 4% now," Goel said.
