The Delhi unit of BJP slammed Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit for her statement that the Capital did not have enough water for all its residents. The party also criticised Dikshit for making “insensitive comments” at a function where she said “no one has died of thirst here so far”. The party demanded that the CM should apologize and retract her statement.

“The Chief Minister is misleading people by trying to shift blame of poor supply on lack of water supply. The fact is that 40 per cent of the water is wasted due to poor management. We need to plug this leak. But the DJB has failed to do this during last 15 years of Congress rule,” Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel said. HTC
